Terms

Terms for using SpecWhale's free tools, embeds, and public catalog data.

Using the tools

SpecWhale tools are provided for general informational and practical use, free of charge, with no account required. You are responsible for verifying results before relying on them for financial, medical, legal, construction, or other consequential decisions -- see the disclaimer for more on this.

Embedding tools on your own site

Any tool's embed snippet (the iframe code shown on that tool's page) may be used freely on your own site or blog post, including commercial sites, provided the "Powered by SpecWhale" attribution link included in the embed remains visible and unmodified.

Using the public catalog data

The public tools.json and search-index.json files (see the API page) may be used to build your own directory, comparison table, or integration. A link back to the relevant SpecWhale tool page is appreciated but not required.

No warranty

SpecWhale is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While build-time checks verify that formulas execute without errors on sample inputs (see the methodology page), this does not guarantee every result is fit for every purpose.
