SpecWhale provides free calculators, converters, and reference utilities -- not professional financial, medical, legal, tax, or engineering advice. Every result is an estimate built on the stated formula and the inputs you provide.
Finance tools
Loan, mortgage, tax, and investment calculators use standard, named formulas (see methodology) but cannot account for your specific lender's fees, your local tax jurisdiction's exact rules, or terms that differ from the general case assumed by the formula. Confirm any number that affects a real financial decision with your lender, a tax professional, or an official source before acting on it.
Health tools
BMI, body fat, calorie, and heart-rate tools are general screening estimates, not diagnoses. They cannot account for your individual medical history, medication, or condition. Discuss any health decision with a qualified healthcare provider rather than relying on a calculator result alone.
Public-data tools
The holiday and weather lookup tools display data from third-party public APIs as-is. SpecWhale does not control the accuracy or availability of that underlying data -- if one of these services is temporarily down or has an error, the tool will show a fallback message rather than silently guessing. Country Lookup uses the browser's built-in internationalization data and an included ISO code list, so it works without a network request.
Home, construction, and other practical tools
Paint coverage, HVAC sizing, and similar home-project calculators use standard reference formulas that assume typical conditions. Real-world results vary with material quality, surface condition, and local factors the formula cannot see -- treat these as a starting estimate for planning, not a guaranteed exact quantity.
